Voltaren Osteo Gel is applied every 12 hours for temporary relief of local pain and inflammation associated with mild forms of osteoarthritis of the knees & fingers. Do not use for more severe conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis.

You should not experience changes to your mood, such as irritability, changes in sleep or changes to your appetite. Voltaren Osteo Gel can cause temporary changes in your mood and may affect your daily activities.
Do not stop using Voltaren Osteo Gel suddenly, even if you feel better. Ask your pharmacist about the possible reasons for your mood changes. Voltaren Osteo Gel may help you to stop feelings of sadness, anxiety, or irritability. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you have any concerns about taking this medication.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
